Explosive Fight Promotions promotes both professional and amateur boxing, mixed martial arts, and tough person contests. EFP strives to make each fight on each show competitive and exciting while creating a positive outlook for the fight game.
Explosive Fight Promotions brings a positive outlook to the fight game by displaying integrity, honesty and hard work while providing fight fans great shows they will want to see again. Led by a promoter who still makes fight deals with a man’s word and a handshake.
Explosive Fight Promotions was formed in the summer of 2007 by owner Dannon Svab. Dannon looks at being involved in the business side of the fight game while continuing his fighting career in the ring and the cage. EFP has no interest in building individual fighters but instead strives to make each fight on each show competitive and exciting. EFP will continue to work hard to give back to the fight fans and provide consistent shows in the midwest while working diligently to help fighters improve in all facets of life.
Dannon Svab is the owner and CEO of Explosive Fight Promotions LLC, one of Ohio’s busiest fight promotions. The company was formed in June of 2007 as a unique fight promotion that offers professional and amateur boxing in addition to the highly successful Caged Madness series. The multi-faceted company is one of the few entertainment promotions that strives to continue to provide occassional Tough Person style tournaments while maintaining a quality mixed martial arts schedule. Svab also serves as official matchmaker for Terminator Boxing.
Svab has been involved in the fight game in some capacity since graduating high school in 1996. He is a 5 time tough person style contest champion and 6-5-1 as a professional boxer. During his fighting campaign he assisted several professional fight promotions with matchmaking and ticket sales.
Outside the fight business Svab serves as a fulltime Ohio State Park Officer since 2002. He received the division’s Exceptional Law Enforcement Activity Awards for OVI Enforcement Arrests, Drug Arrests, and Misdemeanor Arrests. He also received recognition for physical fitness and serves on the division’s special operations team. Svab has assisted prosecution in criminal cases in 10 different counties and 17 different court jurisdictions. Svab is a graduate of Owens College and the Owens Police Academy, where he received Top Gun Runner-up honors. He also is Host to The Caged Madness Radio Show on Fox Sports Radio.
Svab also stays involved with amateur baseball by sponsoring area teams and competing. He played the 2010 season for Lorain Community College where he started 3rd base while leading the team in multiple offensive categories. He also played summer baseball in the Akron based Roy Hobbs league. Svab is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 149 and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Dannon is married to his wife Amy, a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and graduate of The University of Akron. The two attend RiverTree Christian Church and Hudson Community Chapel.
